Support HB 1543-FN to Regulate Personal Electric Vehicles (PEVs)
Deadline Tuesday, January 9
Please sign in remotely to SUPPORT HB 1543-FN.
NHRTC President, Dave Topham and Rep Linda Gould (NHRTC member & life-long cyclist) crafted this bill to address the growing menagerie of Personal Electric Vehicles (PEV) – i.e. “electric unicycles, electric scooters, electric skateboards, electric hoverboards, Gopeds, Segways, Onewheels, and electric skates” to ensure that these high powered, >1.0 horse power, motor vehicles are not racing down our bike/ped trails and sidewalks.
Dave Topham will be testifying about the need for this bill before the House Transportation Committee this coming Tuesday, January 9, at 1:40 p.m. in LOB room 203.
To show the importance of addressing these new, high powered motor vehicles that many of us have already seen riding down our streets and trails with no oversight, please sign in support of HB1543 by following these steps by Tuesday, Jan 9:
