Congratulations to Dolores — Another NH Rail Trails Challenge Finisher!
Dolores biked, hiked, and walked her way across New Hampshire!
Dolores of Loudon, NH earned her New Hampshire Rail Trails Challenge Patch by completing every trail on the Challenge list, using a combination of biking, hiking, and walking!
She began her adventure May 30, 2020, in the Lakes Region, exploring the Lake Winnisquam Scenic Rail Trail and the WOW Trail (Winnipesaukee, Opechee, and Winnisquam), followed by the Winnipesaukee River Trail.
Over the next six years, Dolores continued exploring rail trails throughout New Hampshire, discovering new places and enjoying the scenery and wildlife along the way.
When asked about her most memorable experiences, Dolores shared:
“Loved seeing sections of the state I had never seen. Seeing a momma bear and cub on the Cheshire Rail Trail!”
Dolores completed her Challenge in the summer of 2026, checking off the Potanipo Rail Trail and Rockingham Recreational Rail Trail before reaching her grand finale on August 29, 2026, on the Mason–Greenville Rail Trail!
Congratulations, Dolores! You’ve earned your Challenge Patch and some well-deserved bragging rights! May your adventures continue, whether biking, hiking, or walking, on New Hampshire’s rail trails and wherever else you may roam!
